The Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye designed golf courses in the world. The course, built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks that Amelia Island is famous for.
At par 72, this 6,580 yard course has fourteen holes with water hazards and numerous bulkheaded greens. A variety of bunkers are placed throughout the course to add to the challenge and a natural approach has been maintained as well with the use of coquina shell cart paths, native plant life and preserved habitats for the local wildlife.
Oak Marsh played host to the 1991 PGA Section Championship and 1992 Society of Seniors Championship. In addition, numerous resort tournaments are played here as well. Oak Marsh has been included in Golf Digest's prestigious list of the "Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S." and Amelia Island Plantation is a Golf Magazine "1996-2004 Silver Medal Golf Resort". Oak Marsh was also selected by Travel & Leisure golf as one of the "Florida's 50 Finest Courses".

Completed in 1987, Fazio's award winning design challenges golfers with natural hazards, tight fairways and elevated greens. The rolling fairways wind through three spectacular and distinctive settings: the magnificent marshes, the thick oak and pine forest and the scenic oceanfront dunes. Long Point's character is shaped by natural waste bunkers, large undulating greens and our very distinctive back to back oceanfront Par 3's. In addition, the golf course demands that the golfers' shot carry the water hazard on eight different occasions. Many of these holes leave the casual observer with breathtaking views of the Amelia River and expansive salt marshes.
Long Point is a par 72 course with a back tee yardage of 6,706 yards. It has been acclaimed as one of the "Top Fifty Courses in Florida", by Golfweek Magazine and one of the "Best Places to Play" by Golf Digest. It also has been honored as the "Fifth best course" in the state by the Miami Herald,The Florida Women's Amateur, Men's US Open and US Amateur qualifiers have been held here in the past in addition to numerous Amelia Island Club events and championships. This course is also the primary course of our Amelia Island Club members.

Amelia Island Plantation boasts an incredible blend of golf courses that will give any golfer the feeling of wanting to play over and over! The golf facilities include the Amelia River, with its own brand new clubhouse, Long Point (member facility) which also has its own clubhouse & practice facilities, plus the Ocean Links and Oak Marsh courses, which share the main clubhouse. This on property facility features a pro shop, restaurant/lounge serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a comprehensive practice area.
The Amelia River is the only of the four courses that is open for public play. To play the other three, one must either be a club member or be registered on a stay and play package at the resort.
Amelia Island Plantation has won many awards including: Silver Medal as one of the best golf resorts in the nation (Golf Magazine), Top 75 Golf Resorts in the U.S. (Golf Digest), Best of the South by Links Magazine and # 11 in the USA by Golf For Women Magazine.

Amelia River Golf Club, one of four signature courses operated by Amelia Island Plantation, has opened its 3,700-square-foot-plus clubhouse and revealed officially the golf club’s new name. Opened as Royal Amelia in 2000, Amelia River Golf Club was purchased by the Amelia Island Company in 2005, joining Oak Marsh, Ocean Links, and Long Point in the company’s stable of championship golf courses. The new name reflects better the beauty of the course, as well as its location adjacent to the Amelia River on Amelia Island.
Barry Richardson, head golf professional at Amelia River, agrees that “it’s a very playable golf course for all levels. If you’re a low handicapper you can be very challenged, or you can be a beginner and still enjoy your round without being penalized. ”
Amelia River is renowned as one of the best-conditioned courses in the area with incredibly smooth TifEagle greens and wide Scottish links-style fairways. This par-72, 6,843-yard course from the back tees, is maintained in pristine condition with well manicured rolling fairways, smooth bunkers and greens that challenge a variety of skill levels.

Winding along a coastal Atlantic dune ridge, Ocean Link's #4, #5, #6, #15 and #16 provide golfers with five oceanfront golf holes. The fairways and greens are parallel to the beaches of Amelia Island and meander through a unique coastal maritime hammock. Named by Golf for Women as one of the "50 Best Courses for Women", this close proximity to the ocean and the ever changing sea breeze provide the golfer with exhilarating views and intriguing play.
Ocean Links has 10 holes that feature lagoons and marsh wetlands in addition to concluding with a par three whose green is strategically placed in the waters of Red Maple Lake. The course winds through six miles of the natural sand dunes and seaside terrain that make Amelia Island so special. It can be said that this is as much a nature tour as it is a round of golf. The course yardage of 6,300 yards is somewhat deceiving since small greens, narrow fairways and prevailing winds make the course play much longer. At par 70, this 18 hole combination provides a challenge to golfers of all levels.
