On Pusch Ridge, the golfer plays from elevated tees to sloping fairways and, more often than not, backs up to an elevated green. El Conquistador golf makes full use of the ravines and ridges as well as indigenous cactus and trees to challenge any player.
The Nine Hole Course, the resort course, is the most difficult nine of the five. This course was built on the side of the mountain, resulting in many side-hill lies and difficult putts. The greens are severely undulating, and some blind shots are required in order to reach the elevated greens.
The Pusch Ridge Course is a wonderful nine hole layout that is located right on property adjacent to the Hilton El Conquistador Resort. This is not an executive style layout – but is rather a 2,800 yard 9-hole course that would fit in with either of the two championship 18-hole courses that are part of the resort property. Looking for a quick round upon arrival or on your departure date? Pusch Ridge is a great option. What's more, the course features a couple holes that are perhaps the most spectacular holes of the 45 available!

Considered the primary course, featuring country club like conditions, the Conquistador is an exceptionnably playable course with a lush feel. Natural mesquite and palo verde trees along with saguaro and indigenous desert flora are abundant throughout the layout, with great views of the surrounding mountains.
Consistent on El Conquistador are the elevated green complexes, with deep front-side bunkering. The putting surfaces are of medium size. This is a good resort layout, with 4 sets of tee boxes and fairways not necessarily wide, but ample landing areas are provided for off most tees. The Golds will be the choice of most average golfers.
You will find the Conquistador to be a good challenge and a fun place to play golf.

The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort offers 45 holes of championship golf on three exceptional courses. The El Conquistador is the largest and most popular Tucson, Arizona golf resort. Our golf resort ranks as one of the best Arizona golf resorts for business or pleasure!
The dramatic views of the Santa Catalina Mountains and the Tucson valley below provide a truly memorable golf experience. Each of our Tucson golf courses provides challenging play for golfers of all skill levels with course enhancements by the original architect, Greg Nash, to provide the highest quality of play throughout this Southwest golf resort.
Award Winning Tucson Golf Resort
Our Tucson Arizona golf resort offers the following three golf courses:
• The Cañada Course
• The Conquistador Course
• Pusch Ridge Course

The Canada courses winds through numerous stands of mesquite trees, offering a park-like feel in a desert landscape. With tight, desert lined layout, undulating greens and great course conditions the Cañada Course will make for an enjoyable golf experience. You will find that elevation changes and interesting doglegs will keep you on your toes. Those playing it for the first time will have to pay attention to the lay of the land. Usually an extra club will be necessary on the approaches.
Many of the fairways present a bowl affect, affording slightly off-line tee shots an opportunity to funnel down to playable landing areas. The up and down nature of the terrain, with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and desert will keep you coming back to Tucson. The vistas here are as good as it gets!
Many of the tee shots head downhill, while most of the green complexes play back uphill, with mounds and undulations and understated bunkering along the way.
