The Faldo Course #14

carved into the sonoran desert...

The 18-hole, par 71 Faldo Course was designed by three-time Masters and three-time British Open champ Nick Faldo. Carved into the Sonoran desert, the Faldo Course features a total of 6,846 yards, generous fairways and ample landing areas for the not-so-straight and narrow golf swing, keeping golfers out of the surrounding desert flora. Designed with the help of Schmidt-Curley Golf Course Design, the course affords stunning views of the McDowell Mountains, Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak.

Two holes, late in the round, boast memorable honors and challenges. The 620-yard 15th hole forces the player to hit three solid shots to a slender green protected by eight bunkers. The 314-yard, par 4, 16th hole is reachable by the long hitter, but requires a precise tee shot and a delicate touch to a green that is surrounded by six dramatic bunkers.

The Faldo Championship Course, which sits on a 174-acre site offers a slight variation from the typical desert-theme courses. The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro cacti as well as 106 sand bunkers, reminiscent of the Australian sand belt courses, provide a spectacular setting for the golf course and golfing guests.
